COACHING – ABOUT ME

SCOTT McMASTER
Life & Emotional Mastery Coach • Mediator

I’ve been working one-on-one with people since 2004. I bring warmth, honesty, compassion, and a practical way of looking at what’s going on.

This is a place to talk about the things that are hard to say out loud—and begin making sense of them.

About Me

I came to this work through my own life as much as through any training or job title.

I’ve known love, loss, single parenthood, relationships that worked and some that didn’t, professional pressure, spiritual searching, and the ongoing work of trying to meet myself and other people with more honesty and compassion.

Life has been a generous teacher. Sometimes a little overenthusiastic with the homework.

My background includes coaching, business leadership, consulting, writing, teaching, and mediation. What has mattered most in all of it has been the conversations: helping people slow down, see what’s really going on, and find a way forward that feels true to them.

I don’t think people are broken. I think we all carry experiences that shape us, along with ways of protecting ourselves that once made sense and may no longer be helping.

My Mission & Intention

My intention is simple: to leave what I touch in a better place.

I want the people I work with to come away clearer, steadier, and more able to trust themselves.

Life can knock us off course. Sometimes we know why. Sometimes we don’t. Either way, it helps to have a place where you can be honest, sort through what’s happening, and find your footing again.

I’m not here to tell you who you are or how you should live. I’m here to help you hear yourself more clearly and make choices that fit who you are and what matters to you.

What I Do

We start with what’s happening now.

Maybe you’re dealing with anxiety, anger, grief, self-doubt, a difficult relationship, a big transition, or a pattern that keeps showing up in different forms. Maybe you just know something isn’t right and you’re not sure where to begin.

You don’t need to have it all figured out before we talk.

We’ll look at what you’re experiencing, what may be underneath it, and what might help. That may mean honest conversation, paying attention to self-talk, setting better boundaries, working with old emotional hurts, trying a written exercise, or taking one practical next step.

There is no single formula. I won’t force a belief system or a canned process on you. We’ll work in a way that feels useful and right for you.

Why Choose Me?

Choosing a coach is personal. You need someone you can trust enough to be honest with.

I listen carefully. I ask good questions. I’ll be kind, but I won’t dance around things that need to be faced.

I bring my own life experience, intuition, and years of working with people who are trying to understand themselves and make meaningful changes. I don’t pretend to know your life better than you do. I help you see the things that can be hard to see when you’re in the middle of them.

And while I take the work seriously, I don’t think every conversation has to feel heavy. Sometimes a little warmth and humor make hard things easier to face.

Are you considering working with me?

You don’t need to have the right words, a clear plan, or everything figured out.
If something in your life needs attention, we can talk about it. We can see what feels helpful and whether working together makes sense.
